ABOUT MYSELF
Javier Llamazares.
(Madrid 1970) Started studying law, literature and film directing at the CECC in Barcelona (2000). At that time he met the particular filmmaker and professor José Luis Gueín, who showed him the fascinating world of documentaries by Chris Maker, Jean Rouch, Flaherty, Walter Ruttmannand GeargeRouquier. In 2003 he joined the Taller of Bigas Luna from Reus, digital realization taught by the famous Spanish director Bigas Luna.
Javier also was involved in the production of several short academic work (with director Santiago Zennou) and wrote the screenplays for the films “Stormy Monday Dreams” (2003), “El ajedrecista” (2004) and “Mala leche” (2014)
In 2005, he directed the short film, “Blood” which is nominated for best short fiction in the official section of the International Festival of Badalona FILMETS and the festival “The Row” of Valladolid.
