『ドアーズ』（原題: The Doors）は、1991年のアメリカ映画。1960年代後半から1970年代初頭にかけて活躍したアメリカのロックバンド「ドアーズ」のヴォーカリストであるジム・モリソンの半生と彼の恋人 パメラ・カーソン （英語版） との愛情を描いた伝記的映画である。 THE DOORS. カリスマボーカリスト Jim Morrison ジム・モリソンがいたバンドとして歴史に名を残すバンドだ。今日Lyraが和訳する曲は、The Doorsのデビューアルバムであり、セルフタイトルの『The Doors (邦題 ハートに火をつけて)』のB面 ラストを飾る曲【次に紹介するライブは、劇中みたいなセリフの箇所がオリジナルより長いし、歌詞が全く違うので、載せようか迷ったけれど、Jimが色々と可愛いことをやっているので、載せておくー！ヤバイ歌詞のところ「母さん…」って所で、客が先に”Fuck”って言っちゃってJimがフッて笑ってしまって歌えなくなってしまったのが、可愛かった。でも、Liveってそんなものだし、客とのやり取りにウケて笑ってしまうJimが、普通の男の人だから見れてよかった思うわ。でもマセガキだったLyraだから、意味は分かったし、エロいことより地獄絵図みたいな人間の情念の炎を見た気がして怖かったのを覚えている。だから、The Doorsは好きだけど、Jim Morrisonというヴォーカリストも好きだけど、人間としては怖かった気がする。本や雑誌を読んで行く内に、少しずつJim Morrisonの人柄が分かって来て、段々、怖くなくなった。いつのまにか「Jimならこう感じる。」とか、「これは、こう言いたかったのだ」と分かるようになった。(← まあ、これに関しては信じる人だけ信じてくれれば良い。)グリーンのコオロギ、て歌ってから、再度、見に行って「色が違ったわ」ってテヘッて言う Jim、アナタ 可愛すぎよ。実は、長すぎだからかレコーディングは、前半部分と、後半部分を別々に録音し、後日、繋げてMix したものだ。だから、6分26秒くらいにその痕跡を聴くことが出来る。暇な時に聞いてみてね。(Live盤じゃないからね〜)ただ、この曲は、歌詞の内容が内容なだけに物議を醸したし、表現の自由や人権や人種、性別、社会のあり方などの既成概念を払拭したかった当時の若者たちには、重要なメタファーになったに違いない。その為、数多くの監督や小説家、アーティスト、ミュージシャンがこの曲を題材にした作品を残したり、取り上げたり、自らの作品に象徴的に大々的に使用したものだ。この曲【The End】が無ければ、【地獄の黙示録】が語り継がれるあの名シーンを撮れたとは思えないわ。個人的にはNico のソロアルバム『The End…』(1974年) の中でカヴァーしているのに、グッとくるよ。上記のOliver Stone オリバー・ストーン監督の【The Doors】にも、ヴァルキルマー演じる Jim が、「おかま野郎」と言いながらも できていたとLyraは思うけど、真相は定かではない。だって文献読んだだけで実際にJimには聞いてないから。Lyra的には、このオリバーの映画【The Doors】は、娯楽作品としては良いと思うが、The Doors のメッチャ Great Fan としての本当の感想を言うと、上っ面をなぞっただけで実際のJimの良さも悪さも描けていないと思う。ただ、The Doors と言うバンドを知らない人や、Jim Morrionの顔も姿も曲も分からない人が、The Doorsの曲を知るにはいい素材だと感じている。ライブビデオを見るとヤバイ存在だったのがわかるし、ロックでありJazzの要素があったとわかると思うよ。世の中では、【The End】は、父親殺しおよび母子相姦の内容を持つ歌詞として、センセーションを巻き起こした。良く聞いてると、「all night long」て聞こえるんだけど、、、一晩中、てHしてるか分からん、と思ったの。その後にオリジナルバージョンではFuckを連発してるから、結びつけたら確かにやる話になるんだけど、曖昧でしょう。一応、これはギリシャ神話を元に、Jim Morrisonが作詞したものである、と言われているし、そうかもしれないけど、当初は、Jimが当時付き合っていたMary Werbelow にフラれちゃって、別れたドン底の気持ちを歌詞にぶつけたんだよね。となると、「Fuck!
