No menu. It looks and sounds pretty glorious on a Blue-Ray equipped 3D TV with a Surround Sound system, with such excellent detail that you can almost feel the textures. But this is a imaginative story, with rather eccentric and colorful characters who do entertain for the duration of the film. Literally the best 3D movie I have ever seen. I’m not a fan of these ‘dark’ kids films, but mine are old enough not to be traumatised! I think the slightly dark nature of the film intrigued both my daughters and they watched it over and over to figure out what made it so... as well as the fact they thought Coraline was a very inquisitive, smart and brave young lady.
I just wish they had not bothered sending the 3D version with it, as we all felt a bit conned at being unable to have anything remotely like the cinema 3D experiencing (though we were aware that the technology used here was different). Try again. Coraline Jones is a girl of 11 who is feisty, curious, and adventurous beyond her years. Well worth watching though, the 3D effects are fabulous and not a dull moment to be seen. An adventurous girl finds another world that is a strangely idealized version of her frustrating home, but it has sinister secrets.

CORALINE 3D [2009] [3D Blu-ray + 2D Blu-ray] Be Careful What You Wish For! Overall, my thoughts are that it is an excellent film but the book surpasses it hands down. Great characters, atmosphere, animation and storyline... enjoyable for adults and children alike and, for us, a family favourite.

I saw this film in 3D when it first came out.
Finally, there's the 3D presentation, which in the cinema was truly immersive, and not at all intrusive. That was quite disappointing. There's no effort put in. The character of Coraline Jones is voiced by Dakota Fanning. 79. Great film if a little spooky, I would advise watching with your children for the first time if they are young as they may find it mildly frightening. ... Amazon Prime.
Coraline was brought as a present for a family member so it was a delight to be able to watch it yesterday, both in 3D and in conventional 2D. This film is absolutely wonderful. Caution, the 12a certificate is well deserved as younger children could find parts very upsetting. There were so many little details I had missed in earlier viewings; a real test of a good film! Definitely not French, but more like Carl Jenkins use of sounds in Adiemus that is written to match the music, with the odd word thrown in to tease the listener into believing it is in a known language.
4.3 out of 5 stars 101. Missing her friends and finding her parents to be distracted by their work, Coraline tries to find some excitement in her new environment.
